Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
voyage is an app for exploring a 3D globe and keeping track of the countries you have visited and want to visit. It is made by Anmol Singh, an independent developer. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use voyage on iOS or Android.
In short: voyage has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your travel data stays on your device and in your own iCloud or Google backup — the developer never receives it.
What voyage stores
voyage saves the things you enter so it can show them back to you:
- the countries you have marked as visited or on your wishlist
- the cities and attractions you have checked off
- your settings (theme, globe style, view mode and similar)
- your progress in challenges and the daily quiz
This data is stored on your device only. It is never sent to the developer or to any server operated by the developer.
iOS: iCloud sync
On iOS, voyage also keeps a copy of your saved data in your iCloud key-value storage, so it stays in sync across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That copy is stored by Apple under your account and is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer cannot access it. You can turn this off for voyage in your device's iCloud settings.
Android: device backup
On Android, your saved data is included in Android's standard backup and device-to-device transfer, if you have backup turned on. Those backups are handled by Google under your Google Account and covered by Google's Privacy Policy. The developer cannot access them.
Network access
The Android app makes no network connections.
The iOS app connects to the internet for the Daily Challenge only: it downloads each day's question from a database hosted by Supabase. These requests contain no personal data or identifiers. Like any web request, they reveal your device's IP address to Supabase, which may keep it in short-lived server logs. Your answers are not sent anywhere — they are saved only on your device.
Tips (in-app purchases)
The iOS app has an optional tip jar. Tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. voyage never sees your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase succeeded.
What voyage does not do
- no account or sign-in
- no analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs
- no tracking across apps or websites, and no advertising identifiers
- no access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone
- no selling or sharing of personal data
Children
voyage is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives only on your device and in your own backups, you control it entirely. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. On iOS, you can stop the iCloud copy syncing by turning off iCloud for voyage. On Android, you can manage backups in your Google Account settings.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. The developer holds no personal data about you, so in practice the data that exists is the data on your devices and in your own cloud accounts, described above. You can still contact the developer with any question or request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
